Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?'” Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on MLK Day to serve their neighbors and communities. This is the 7th year Longview Farm Elementary will be participating in an MLK Day of Service.
We will not be going to locations to serve this year due to Covid-19. We are asking you to consider purchasing items for the organizations that have welcomed LFE kids over the last 6 years! We have created an Amazon wish list for your convenience. There are items in all price ranges that will make a BIG difference to our local animal shelters and Blair’s Foster Socks.

Be watching the LFE PTA Facebook Page for more ideas on how to serve others this year.
Thank you for your participation in this project!
Check out these goody bags for the LFE teachers and staff. The goody bags were filled with drinks, treats, and requested school supply items. All items were graciously donated by our LFE families!
Our LFE teachers received some nice treats the week of parent/teacher conferences. A snack grab and go, box lunches, and box dinners. The PTA Hospitality group did great at setting this up!
It’s time to pull out your camera, snap a photo of your child in their costume, and send it to the LFE PTA. We will put everyone’s photo into a Virtual Falloween Parade slide show. Join the fun!
Now is the time to signup for the Reflections contest. This program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. To join, simply email firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a great opportunity for LFE students to show their art.
